VCI Event Technology Expands Equipment Inventory for 2018

Having the best service offerings includes having the best in class tools. VCI enhanced its equipment offerings in 2018 to include a new inventory of Panasonic RQ32K 27,000 lumen projectors and Christie DHD850 7,000 lumen to expand their laser class projector options. Additional purchases for this season included GrandMA2 lighting desks, Yamaha CL5 and QL5 audio consoles. For graphics support, VCI has added Picturall Mark2 Quattro Media Servers to their inventory.

VCI is always listening to what components Producers and Technical Directors are requesting on their programs and that continues to influence VCI’s purchase decisions. Each year, VCI regularly hosts industry manufactures at its headquarters to conduct new equipment workshops which provides customers and staff with a hands-on demonstration of new and emerging technology.

Team VCI was featured at The Art of VR event at Sotheby’s Art Auction House in New York City. VCI deployed multiple video solutions including an immersive Absen 2.9mm curved and serpentined LED displays. Additionally, VCI was sourced for general session audio, dual projection, lighting, video playback and event staffing. Included was a panel discussion, multiple presenters and live demonstrations.

VCI also coordinated with and supported each of the 40+ VR and AR exhibitors across 3 exhibition floors.

This was a unique event space featuring a specialized approach and set of solutions. Post-event feedback measured by the large amount of impressions and views supported this tremendously successful program.

VCI Event Technology expands Operational Leadership and Sales Support with the appointment of two key staff members. For over 25 years, VCI Event Technology has established itself as a premier nationwide leader and provider of audio, video, lighting, staging and LED projection technology to event producers, agencies, motion picture studios and major corporate clients alike.

Steve WarrenSteve Warren joins VCI as Director of Operations: As both a proven operational leader and high-level project manager, Steve’s combined skill set further enhances VCI’s national platform delivery, supply chain and logistics process. Steve will oversee VCI’s technical operations, inventory management and process development.

“Steve’s pedigree and industry reputation among agencies, producers and technical directors is unmatched,” said Evan Goldschlag, President and CEO of VCI Event Technology. “He is an excellent fit for our culture and growth model.”

Previously, Steve served several technical and operational roles for a combined 17 years at WorldStage, Inc. Ingram Micro

Ingram Micro, the world’s largest reseller of computers, parts, networking equipment and software, hosted its largest show of the year in Nashville. The “ONE” event needed to impress a diverse audience of the computer world’s elites, with hundreds of business owners and partners in attendance. VCI Event Technology was instrumental in collaborating with Ingram Micro’s presentation and technical production team in planning and designing their largest general session.

With a dozen 20,000 ANSI lumen HD projectors distributed on 2500′ of fiber optics and projected on dual 50′ widescreen projection surfaces, the stage design allowed for an immersive experience covering 140 degree sightline. In addition, 16′ high stage set pieces and 62′ wide scrim provided a vibrant and dynamic backdrop where presentations and custom animations were displayed. All was captured with a three camera HD switching system and magnified on the projection surfaces.

The audio system design allowed for concert quality audio throughout without any sightline obstructions of the various set pieces & projection surfaces. 32 various lighting instruments on 500′ of truss helped highlight the natural room architecture providing an immersive-theatre like environment.

Anime Expo

Anime Expo presented by SPJA is a yearly Convention of all things pertaining to Japanese Animation. It has grown into a vast multi-day Convention with over 100,000 attendees. Their general session is an exhibition hall to seat 3400 people. VCI supplied a 50′ wide LED screen flanked with two l2’x21′ projection screens, 6 LED columns, an HD switch package, three HD camera chains, HD remote cameras, HD records, Barco E2 switcher and concert audio system with a JBL VTX25 line array. The lighting plot included 60 conventional fixtures and 76 Movers. VCI designed and operated all technical aspects of this space. The variety of entertainment and constantly changing use of the stage, keeps this show interesting and challenging. Employing new and innovative technologies helps the show evolving from year to year.

The 20 breakouts for this convention vary from panels, screening rooms, press, dance, and Karaoke rooms ranging from small rooms for a hundred people to large rooms accommodating over a thousand. VCl’s extensive planning and project management help make Anime Expo the most popular Anime convention in North America.

VCI Event Technology Announces Anthony Stevens as VP of Business Development

VCI Event Technology announces Anthony Stevens as its new Vice President of Business Development. For over 20 years, VCI Event Technology has established itself as a premier nationwide leader and provider of audio, video, lighting, staging and projection technology to event producers, agencies, motion picture studios and major corporate clients alike.

Stevens will lead the company’s national sales and business development initiatives from their Anaheim, CA headquarters. As the leader of the business development teams, he will oversee all aspects of strategic growth for the organization and build direct relationships with key corporations, production companies and agencies. Stevens will have significant influence over the company’s strategic vision in partnership with the executive team and ownership.

“Anthony has a demonstrated track record of producing excellent results for both his team and his customers,” said Evan Goldschlag, President and CEO of VCI Event Technology. “His early years in our industry will provide invaluable perspective and support for the organization’s growth.”

Previously Stevens drove impressive year-over-year sales growth at Swank Audio Visuals’ Event Services which he served 16 years and recently at AV Concepts, well-known for high-end projection, augmented reality and hologram capabilities.
